The Crew

KYLE HILTON is the writer of the story upon which Now It’s Dark is based, director, sound recordist and the editor of the film.
A third-year Film & Broadcast Production student at London Metropolitan University, Kyle is an aspiring film editor and director. His editing credits include Crease, the Jade Moulla directed Penguin and the upcoming Now It’s Dark, which will be premiered at London Metropolitan University’s Cass Summer Show in June 2012. Kyle has also shot and edited various promotional videos and has recently worked in the editorial department of Fast Girls, written by Noel Clarke & Jay Basu, directed by Regan Hall and starring Lenora Crichlow, Lily James and Noel Clarke.

KATHRIN BENOEHR is the producer of Now It’s Dark.
Kathrin found that producing films lets her combine her creativity, penny-pinching nature and slight need for things to be in order perfectly. She therefore decided to pursue this career and started off by attending the Film & Broadcast Production course at London Metropolitan University. Over the past years she has produced short films, co-produced the multilingual webseries Points Of You and worked on an English language learning programme for German national TV.
Her favourite films include Inception and 500 Days of Summer.

LAURA WARREN is director of photography on Now It’s Dark.
Since discovering the “special features” section on DVDs, Laura has dedicated the last 7 years to studying film and television production and aspires to a career in cinematography and editing. Over the years she has produced, directed and edited music promos for local London bands as well as college projects including short films and documentaries. At the end of 2011 Laura worked as a panelist and photographer at the UK Film Festival held in London’s Leicester Square.
Favourite films include Psycho, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Spirited Away.

GIOVANNI TODESCHINI is assistant director, gaffer, storyboard artist and website administrator.
Giovanni moved to London in 2009 to attend the Film & Broadcast Production undegraduate course at London Metropolitan University and pursue a career in filmmaking. Over the past two and a half years he has worked on a documentary, three short films, a series of corporate videos for the university’s website and a music video.
Among his favourite films are Amélie, Mr. Nobody and A Single Man.
